It appears that the regular users of HOD do not have the integrity I thought they had.

Scheming to upload the content of the Vinnie Colaiuta DVDs is rather underhanded, as far as I am concerned, and I am saddened that you and the others feel you will take the opportunity to distribute these in your own fashion.

I have no other alternatiive than to judiciously select NOT to trade with ANYONE connected with HOD or it's members.

Looks like ebay is a much better avenue, as ebay users will gladly pay for something for which there is such a high demand. I am sure I could get quite a lot of money for each DVD set. But, that's not my intention. I initially wanted to just trade these for VC audio/video I did not have. Funny how this turned out.

I PM'd you and asked you to name your price? When you did (I won't disclose it here) i replied, saying I was more than happy to pay that and the postage. I then went to my bank and post office to find out how to get a bank order for you as I've never dealt with one before. I then emailed you to ask for your details, so I could give you the money you requested...

...and now this? What is this all about? I have been a gentleman when contacting you and ASSURED you of the validity of any cheques/postal orders you require.

Why the outburst? Don't please tar me with the same brush that someone like Benrand has, by only wanting to cover your postal cost by $2 and wishing to receive something for fuck-all.

I don't have 'em, obviously, that's why I said I would donate 2 bucks to get the discs shipped to me.

Some of us DO have integrity and appreciate the efforts you have gone to put all this stuff onto dvd for us.

Hey, I think there was a guy here who had some really rare Vinnie stuff, the shots on one of Steve's movies had some of it and it was definitely desired...he didn't fucking CHARGE for it, he seeded it on EZT.

First off, Dazz I can't believe you're slagging another member over this. Benrand has proven himself here time and time again by constantly uploading mp3s for everyone to enjoy. I get your point about business, but let's come off it. No one here owns these bootleg videos.

Gete, I'm sorry you feel the way you appear to. While I agree that the greed factor has been much more apparent than normal around here in general, I do think you are WAY off base with the integrity comment and need to consider that further. I've spoken up already in regards to the time and effort it would take you to compile this.

Having said that, you really have no standing as far as charging money for it. You don't own those performances. If you want to sell it via emails and private messages no one is going to try and stop you, but to insult the board as a whole while you profit from something you don't own is... well.... hardly a demonstration of integrity.

Benrand has a good point tho' [img]biggrin.gif[/img] eep Fried was kind enough to upload that video that everybody wanted so bad,ya'll know what i'm talkin' bout,and that was such a noble move.

On the other hand,i pm'd Getes and was,and still am willing to pay the price for those dvd's.Nevertheless i'd find it rather sad to find those dvds on ebay, since i always feel that the people who sell that kind of stuff are making money with sthg they don't own.

Selling it on ebay could never be made out of integrity.I find it totally outrageous to make money selling bootlegs or 'stolen' shows.

I somehow feel that some of your words were dictated by disappointment and i kind of understand since i really do think your purpose was to share in a nicely communitarian(ous?) manner.

Some of us are willing to pay for the time spent making those dvds.Even if your stuff should someday be uploaded,would that be a reason to get mad at those whom you'd have sold it to?
i don't think so.
Most of the Vinnie stuff you can buy on ebay were uploaded before.And you can bet those selling it probably downloaded it.
Sad but true and very pathetic.
